Farish Alborzkuh

Graphic designer, painter and sculptor
Tehran | Iran

Carpets are among the oldest handicraft products in the history of mankind. Each Persian carpet carries its own narrative about art, culture and life. Farish says: “I give things a new place. I pick up rugs from the floor and place them in earrings, necklaces and rings so that the story can be told.” Each Farish artwork is unique and one-of-a-kind, a combination of hand-woven rugs and bronze and entirely handmade.

The elements are taken from their old territory and transformed into a new meaning. Their new meaning and use is food for thought.

Farish Alborzkuh has a diploma in graphic design, a bachelor’s degree in print design and a master’s degree in painting and sculpture.

Farish Alborzkuh was a student of the renowned Professor Parviz Tanavoli, one of the outstanding sculptors and researchers in Iranian art history.
